🇦🇺 UFC Australia this Saturday, Oliveira vs Gamrot set for UFC Brazil after Fiziev injury
The UFC returns to RAC Arena in Perth, Australia on Saturday, September 27th, for UFC Fight Night: Ulberg vs Reyes. New Zealand native Carlos Ulberg (#3), currently riding an eight-fight win streak, is looking to make a statement and secure his position as a top contender in the division. Dominic Reyes (#7), who previously fought for the title against Jon Jones in 2020, has rebounded from a tough stretch and is now riding a three-fight win streak of his own, capped by a highlight-reel KO of Nikita Krylov. With a victory, Reyes could break back into the top five and re-enter the title conversation. The card faced some last minute changes last week as the co-main event between Junior Tafa and Ibo Aslan was scrapped due to an injury. Tickets are still available.
In other news, UFC Brazil also took a big hit this week with Rafael Fiziev reporting an injury and pulling out of the main event against Charles Oliveira. Mateusz Gamrot (#8) has stepped up and will officially take his place.
