Fresh off of a massive UFC 320 event with Pereira reclaiming the throne against Ankalaev, the UFC heads to Brazil next for UFC Fight Night: Oliveira vs Gamrot, taking place this Saturday, October 11th at Farmasi Arena. Brazil native Charles “do Bronx” Oliveira (#4), one of the most dangerous submission artists in UFC history, with 21 career finishes by submission, will put his jiu-jitsu to the test against Poland’s Mateusz Gamrot (#8), a fighter known for his relentless wrestling and top control. Betting markets have the fight nearly even, with Gamrot listed as a slight favorite.
The co-main event features former two-time flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo (#6) continuing his run at bantamweight against Montel Jackson (#15). Figueiredo has gone 3-2 since moving up, with wins over Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt, and Marlon Vera, but enters this one looking to rebound after consecutive losses to Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen. Jackson rides a six-fight win streak and brings a major size and reach advantage into the matchup.
Tickets for the event are sold out, and with Brazil’s strict reseller laws, they’re nearly impossible to find on the secondary market.
