The UFC heads to Doha, Qatar, next for its first-ever event in the country, with UFC Fight Night: Tsarukyan vs Hooker taking place this Saturday, November 22nd, at the ABHA Arena. Arman Tsarukyan (#2) returns after a 19-month hiatus to face Dan Hooker (#7), with both hoping a dominant performance will place them in title contention. Tsarukyan’s last fight was in April 2024 at UFC 300, where he earned a split-decision victory over Charles Oliveira. Unfortunately, the win was overshadowed by an altercation he had with a fan at the event, which resulted in a 9-month suspension. Tsarukyan’s momentum was further stalled earlier this year when he suffered a back injury just days before his scheduled title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311, forcing him to withdraw.
