The UFC heads to Seattle this weekend for UFC Fight Night: Adesanya vs Pyfer, taking place this Saturday, March 28th, at Climate Pledge Arena. Headlining the card is a middleweight matchup between former champion Israel Adesanya (#4) and Joe Pyfer (#14), with Adesanya trying to snap a three-fight skid against one of the division’s most dangerous rising contenders.

Adesanya returns for the first time in over a year, bringing his trademark feints, stance switches, and layered distance striking into a matchup against a younger, heavier-handed opponent who will be looking to make every exchange count. Across from him is Pyfer, a surging contender coming off back-to-back wins over Kelvin Gastelum and Abus Magomedov, and now stepping into the biggest opportunity of his UFC run. If Adesanya can keep Pyfer reaching, draw out overcommitted entries, and disrupt his rhythm before he can set his feet, his timing and control of range could start to make this look like an old Israel Adesanya fight, but if Pyfer can cut off the cage, force Adesanya into extended exchanges, and drag him into a dirtier, more physical fight, his power and pressure could make this an uncomfortable comeback spot for the former champ.
