This weekend the UFC returns to Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker taking on former ONE Championship double champ Reiner de Ridder. Whittaker, hungry to reestablish himself after a punishing loss to Khamzat Chimaev, faces a surging de Ridder, who has quickly made his mark in the UFC with back-to-back finishes over Kevin Holland, Gerald Meerschaert, and Bo Nickal.
The card is surprisingly strong for a Fight Night, with fights including former bantamweight champion Petr Yan, rising star Shara Magomedov, and a clash between Bryce Mitchell and Said Nurmagomedov. Unfortunately the co-main event between Movsar Evloev and Aaron Pico has been cancelled due to injury. Tickets for this event are still available for under $100 if you’re in the area.
